Let it Go

Losing Could be #Winning        "Let it Go"     Well, I feel lame. I think i killed my chances at Texas Children's, Honestly the hospital was so big that i was kind of intimidated. maybe i let my fear show, maybe i don't get the Job because i was too nervous, or because i talked too much, or maybe God surprises me and i get it regardless of how nervous i was, because HE is strong enough to do that. if i don't get it honestly I'm okay with it. I just want something. at this point I'm applying for jobs in New York. Places i have never even been on vacation i am trying to work at and live for who knows how long. It is scary but also really exciting.       I am excited to see what God does with all of this... I am depending on Him alone for a Job because i know that no one is going to look at me, just barely out of internship, and say "yep she is the most qualified her for sure." no ha it will be more like, "uh..she has no expe...

Not sure when i typed this but it is in my drafts and it may need to be shared, so here ya go! Sometimes life gets in the way of living....other times life gets in the way of loving. I get to a point on days like today where i am so exhausted by the mundane things i pretend are important that i have to stop myself mid complaint and remind myself that things that i hold of importance are not what is necessarily the most important to Christ, and therefore are not of the utmost importance.

Unemployment...Youre no fun..

So this is unemployment....i gotta tell you i thought it would be a lot more fun. I am doing some fun things but honestly most of it is wondering when i will get a job. I have applied for so many jobs. From New York to California trusting that God has someplace really good in mind and that all it will take is for me to trust and apply everywhere i can find. Who knows maybe he is preparing the heart of a man for me in one of these places. Maybe not. How will i know unless i apply everywhere i can?! So i applied every place that i could, and a crazy thing happened.... Im training for a marathon guys. Like a full "you're crazy" 26.22 stinking miles of pain Marathon. and i can't wait! Little Rock, Arkansas March 2, 2014 Im coming for you. I may start at 6am and not finish tip 1pm but I'm doing it! Honestly i couldn't be more excited. We talk about challenges and things we wouldn't be able to do without the Strength of Christ but running is really one of thos...

For Ashlee.

Image
My sister called me three times at 1am on sunday, i really was kind of frustrated with her because i thought she was trying to get back at me for calling her at what would have been her 1am on saturday, but when my dad called at 8am sunday morning i knew something was wrong. "Ashlee Mock was killed in a car accident last night" he may have said more but that is all i heard, there was no more information at that point. My friend, who i had just begun to rekindle friendship with after almost 10 years, my friend who i had just had dinner with, my friend who sent silly snapchats all day long about how she didnt want to be at work, or how it was too early to be dealing with difficult people, my friend had died.  I really dont even remember what i said to my dad, i remember him praying for her family, and i remember crying, and i havent really stopped crying. I just keep thinking of things that i was going to tell her about the next time we hung out or the next time i text her. t...

A letter to bob

I just sent an email to bob goff. If anyone is wondering about what is on my heart. Here's a glimpse Hey Bob! I tweeted you and said I was going to call you. Well that was probably two weeks ago and I still haven't had a chance. And with your schedule and mine I'm just not sure what time zone I would catch you in. So, I guess to start off, my name is lindsey and I am a dreamer. I don't think telling you my idea would be fit without first introducing myself in a big way. So here goes, grab a snack and something to drink because this may be a long email....got it? Okay here we go. I have known since I was 8 and lost a cousin to leukemia that I wanted to work with kids preferably in a hospital setting, so going into college I declared my (first) major as "pre-nursing" once I realized I couldn't pass 730am Chemestry I figured I needed to find a new route to working with sick kiddos. I found a class called "the hospitalized child" and figured that was...

Faking It....Stop That

So i have been irritated today, more than usual, about people being fake. More specifically what i will refer to as "part-time friends". I have a few friends that lately i feel like are "friends" with me out of obligation or necessity rather than by choice. --- Dont worry, this isnt going to be "THAT" kind of post. Spent a little time reading "LOVE DOES" before i decided i needed to blog and listen to whatever it is God is going to reveal to me through this post. In case youre wondering that is the REASON i blog, I find that God uses my words and questions that i type out as my own thoughts in order to bring clarity to every situation. --- Anyway,  I just have days where i feel like, "yay friends are everywhere yay" and then there are days where i feel like each and every text i send is the most obnoxious thing ever. And it is not necessarily by fault of the recipient, they may be at the lake or just really busy that day or w...

Whirlwind

Honestly I don't know where to begin. So much has been going on in my life, I have been diligently applying for internships and got them all sent out before our family vacation which was a great plan because our vacation started on the deadline date.  We went to Pensacola (our old home) and we had an incredible time just relaxing and of course taking lots of beach pics.  I cherish our family vacations because with Brittney being a travel nurse now our time as a full family is rare.  I always look forward to spending time with her She is my absolute favorite person in the world. Family time is my favorite.  We had perfect weather the whole week. It didn't rain until the day we left. As we were pulling out of the parking lot.  God gave us 5 beautiful days of sunshine and perfect temperatures on an almost deserted beach. We couldn't have asked for a better week.  I got up every morning partially because I was coughing like crazy all week but also to make the j...
